Cornerstone Research and Development Center was founded in 2016 to provide residential and support services for individuals with developmental disabilities in Maryland and beyond. Built on the principles of promoting independence, choice, and self-advocacy, Cornerstone Research and Development Center has consistently transformed lives. Our unique program models are individually tailored to foster the personal, social, and emotional growth of the individuals we serve, helping them integrate into their chosen communities and become active, contributing citizens.
Our residential services are delivered in environments that prioritize health and safety while encouraging personal growth, choice, independence, social interaction, and community inclusion. Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide the highest quality of community residential and support services aimed at meeting the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities in a stimulating community setting that fosters dignity, independence, and community integration while protecting their rights as citizens without recourse to race, color, gender, nationality, disability, creed, religion or sexual orientation. It is our commitment to serve all individuals with developmental disabilities regardless of the severity of their diagnosis.

We envision providing support to all individuals seeking a fulfilling life guided by choices that meet their unique needs. We aim to extend our services to additional counties within Maryland and expand our offerings to include more community waivers, such as Day Habilitation, as we continue to support various communities.
